Thirdpart Farm is located on the Ayrshire coast, 28 miles from Paisley, and has been in the Scott family for 200 years.
Rising from sea level to 1080 feet, the farm carries 170 beef cows and 1050 breeding ewes, plus all their progeny.
The beef breeding herd, consisting mainly of Aberdeen Angus cross cows, plus a few Limousin and Simmentals, are all put to the Aberdeen Angus or Limousin bull. All prime stock are finished and sold to John Scott Meat.
The sheep flock is split between 800 Greyface ewes and 230 Blackfaces. Texel rams are used on the Greyfaces, producing prime lambs for finishing and sale to John Scott Meat. The Blackies are bred pure, both as breeding replacements at Thirdpart and for sale to other producers.
