Here at John Scott Meat, ensuring our practices are sustainable is imperative to our operation and its success.
We only work with a select group of quality farms which ensures that we can be confident in the knowledge that all our produce has been born, reared, and slaughtered in Scotland. By building long term relationships with our select farmers that we audit regularly, we can be confident that our livestock has had a high quality of life on our national farms and throughout our live supply chain, which results in the highest quality meat reaching our customers’ plates.
Our group of trusted farmers use grass-based farming to ensure the health of our livestock is maximised and produced sustainably, limiting our environmental impact.
Our grass-based farming practices ensure that our produce have been reared on a more natural diet which is untainted by chemicals and growth promoters – giving the consumer a healthier and higher quality end product.
We also offer a full range of beef and lamb offal as the most sustainable way for us to ensure that we are making use of the whole animal and eliminating as much food waste as we possibly can.
